The Student's Representative Council of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) yesterday, 22nd February, 2017, held the first edition of Professional Talk, Pro-Talk for short.
Pro-Talk is a program birthed from the desire of the Sidney Quartey-led administration to groom students of the university to becoming young professionals and world changers during and after their stay in school.

The program which evolved around the theme "Raising an Army of World Changers" received a very high patronage from the University community and some selected Senior High Schools. Paramount amongst these patrons were the chairperson of the program Mr. Agyemang Badu Collins, a lecturer of the University and the Former Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. Goski Alabi. Also passing through to spice up the programme were a poet, Khemikal the Comedian and the school Choir.

Some speakers at the event were renowned Ghanaian Speakers and Career Coaches such as Dr. Osei Kusi, Pastor Anthony Larbi, Mr. Lambert Donkor, Mr. Kwame Frimpong and Mr. Jeremiah Buabeng.

The audience of the event which was largely made up of students of the University, registered their excitements to the organizers of the program at every least opportunity they had, by giving applause and standing ovations to welcome speakers and appreciate speeches. The turnout alone, according to the SRC President Mr. Sindey Quarter, was an indication of how this vision has met the approval and joy of the student body.

He seized the opportunity to showcase how pleased his administration was to the various groups of people who made it to the maiden version of the UPSA- Pro Talk. This he did by presenting carefully-worded citations and certificates to the individual speakers and performers.

The chairperson also expressed his gratitude to the various groups of patrons, and commended them for making it a point to partake in the event. He was fully convinced that, that day would certainly make an impact in the lives of the patrons. He also admonished them not to belittle the inspirations they received but rather channel them into hard work.

Some patrons who spoke to Isaac Asimadi, the Programs Manager of Campus Updates, couldn't hold back their joy as most, if not all, were hopeful this inspiration would go a long way to help them in all facets of their academic endeavor.
