Miss Catherine Adjei-Wiafe, a level 200 Home Economics student was adjudged winner of the 2017 Miss UEW pageantry after facing stiff competition from other contestants on the night amidst spectacular performances.
The event which came off at the Jophus Anamoah Mensah auditorium witnessed high patronage. As at 7:45 pm on the night, the whole auditorium was filled to capacity with students. Close to seven hundred more could be seen outside the auditorium standing just to catch a glimpse of the show. Our source can confirm that aside congregations, this show had held more than two hundred lecturers glued to their seats throughout the night.
Miss Kathy took home a cash price of one thousand cedis, a package worth three hundred cedis from shop on a wheel and an ambassadorial contract.
The judges on the night were Lorreta Gyasi Efua, central regional rep of GMB 2016, Desmond-King George of Yolo fame, Aku Dzifa, one of the organizers among others.
